I purchased this shirt for a friend’s birthday this year, and it was so much fun to wear and embroider, and I hope to get a lot of use out of it. The price is a little high, but I will be buying more shirts in the future, and I highly recommend it.

I have a little tale to tell about the long time relationship between the Nerd and the Zoot Suit. The Zoot Suit has become a symbol for the Girl Scout movement. In 1964 the Girl Scouts of America organized the first Boy Scout Troop in which the Girl Scout leader of a troop could wear a Zoot Suit. Later on she added that the Boy Scout Troop leader could wear a Wig. At that time the Girl Scout leaders were more interested in how to dress their troop than they were in working out their troop’s goals. The Girl Scout leaders felt that the Boy Scout leaders were only interested in the purpose of being in the troop, and this was something they didn’t want to do. So the Girl Scout leaders decided that the Boy Scout Troop leader would live in a Zoot Suit. Since then this symbol has become an icon of Scouting. The Zoot Suit has become a symbol of Girl Scouts.
